MISDEMEANOR APPOINTMENTS
The Misdemeanor Appointment Bureau is staffed by an Assistant District Attorney (ADA) who reviews new misdemeanor, violation and traffic offenses as they are reported to the Justice Court Bureau by the 14 Town and Village Police Departments, New York State Police, Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement agencies. The Misdemeanor Appointment ADA is responsible for issuing Victim Contact Letters, Ready for Trial Letters, Property Release Authorizations and conducting phone interviews with crime victims.
