City Court Bureau
The City Court Bureau is responsible for the arraignment of all criminal cases which take place within the jurisdiction of the City of Syracuse. This bureau also is responsible for the prosecution of any city ordinances, violations, misdemeanors and motor vehicle and traffic violations in the City of Syracuse.
Justice Court Bureau
The Justice Court Bureau is responsible for the arraignment of all criminal cases which take place outside of the City of Syracuse, but within the jurisdiction of the 19 towns and villages in Onondaga County. This Bureau also is responsible for the prosecution of any local ordinances, violations, misdemeanors and motor vehicle or traffic violations within the towns and villages. The Assistant District Attorneys (ADAs) in this bureau represent the people in all towns and villages during evening court outside of their daily responsibilities.
